The Austrian public is split in two. On the one hand there are the just and pure and on the other hand there are criminals and sinners. If you belong to the left and its friends, then you are on the side of the chosen ones, but if you are not willing to submit unreservedly to the moral codes and ideology of the dominant opinion class, then you will be cast into the caste of the untouchables. The untouchables have to remain silent, if they don’t they will become the target of a hate pack, which is usually headed by leading journalists and cultural figures.
Current victim, the journalist Christian Wehrschütz, the leading Eastern Europe expert of the ORF. The publisher of the ultra-left intriguing postille Falter, well fattened by the City of Vienna and ORF, is obviously bothered that Wehrschütz gets so much airtime on ORF because of the Ukraine crisis, while no one is interested in him, apart from the select culture-left microgroup of Falter readers. Hurt by the ignorance of the majority, he loses his composure and thrashes the successful rifleman with his speech-wielding sword. He is our clown in the crisis area, the rifleman who speaks without saying anything. And immediately a privileged journalist from state television jumps in to help the doyen of the humanist ramblings and circulates his arrogant and infamous bon mot on Twitter with a submissive cheering comment. It’s always remarkable how silly little mean things put the old white late ’68 males in destructive euphoria.
Anyone who is not on the right side, like the Falter editor, but on the completely wrong side, like the ÖVP General Secretary Laura Sachslehner, will not be cheered for, but aggressively attacked. A radicalized grandmother against the right, who is known on Twitter as a monotonous and bleak SPÖ cheering aunt, dehumanizes Sachslehner into a “figure” and attaches the attributes “stupid” and “embarrassing” to it. The left-wing executioner does not tell us what the stupidity and embarrassment of her hate object is. Nor does it have to, since the representatives of the left bourgeoisie always speak ex cathedra, so that neither reasonable arguments are necessary nor doubts about their opinion allowed.
Successful young women who don’t come out of their ideological formation are likely to upset the ultra-left altogether. A few weeks ago, Peter Pilz, who is known as a sexist and comes from the group of Radical Marxists, caused a stir with a tirade against Sachslehner, in which he also involved the woodpecker who lived in front of his house. Last year, his adlatus Thomas Walach “ironically” teamed up Laura Sachslehner with Laura Rudas and, to the cheers of his claqueurs, degraded them as a “strong team” to a “girls’ party”. Again, it is interesting that left-leaning white elders are apparently allowed to do things to women for which anyone not belonging to their illustrious group would be publicly torn to pieces by a radical feminist squad. We still have good memories of the vile public exposure of Sebastian Kurz’s partner, which remained without any consequences.
In general, it is noticeable that there are a striking number of Trotskyists among the group of those who are the spokesmen for the left-wing combat troops in the media and in politics. These comrades, once ardent supporters of Leon Trotsky, the generalissimo of the Red Army and butchers of the Kronstadt sailors rebelling against Leninist totalitarianism, were notorious even during their university days for only destroying what others had laboriously built. These sectarians themselves have never produced anything constructive. And when they ran out of external material to realize their destructiveness, they devastated their own structures. Never before has there been a left-wing group that was able to dismantle itself into its smallest components at such a rapid rate as the Trotskyists. ZackZack is a late offshoot of this culture of destruction. The platform is nothing more than a device for revenge, with which a failed professional politician tries to take revenge on his opponents from the past. He now wants to destroy the system that expelled him.
The general tenor of the hegemonic left-liberal political culture is the repeatedly proclaimed thesis that the greatest threat to democracy today comes from the political right. Even conservatives are branded as “radicalized conservatives” today and counted among the right. Looking back at recent history, however, it was the radical left that brought democracy to the brink of existence. Older people will surely remember with a shudder the so-called “German autumn” of 1977, when the terrorists of the Baader-Meinhof group swept through Germany. Austria was also one of the countries directly affected by the Palmers kidnapping. Now a book has been published that makes your blood run cold. It was written by a Swedish activist from the Fridays for Future ecomans and it’s called How to Blow Up a Pipeline. On more than 180 pages, the ultra-leftist author uses historical examples such as that of the suffragettes to prove that political movements were particularly successful when they used violence.
As once for the Russian Bolsheviks, everything is at stake for the author. If the Leninist redemption movement wanted to free people forever from the rule of the bourgeoisie, Fridays for Future wants to totally redeem the world population from capitalism and climate catastrophe. What connects both movements, the Bolsheviks and the radical wing of Fridays for Future, is naïve utopianism, fanaticism and totalitarianism.
The author proudly reports on the systematic damage to SUVs that he has carried out together with like-minded people and raves about the perforation and destruction of pipelines. It becomes particularly disturbing when he happily recounts the blowing up of a pipeline in Germany by “Palestinian freedom fighters” and downright raves about an alliance of Action Directe, RAF and Belgian terrorists in the 1980s that destroyed dozens of pipelines and production facilities in Europe the air blew up. If an identitarian activist were to publish such a text, he would be jailed for several years. If a leftist does it, he is praised over the green clover for his “rousing manifesto” calling for violent “escalation” and named by Naomi Klein as one of the “most original thinkers on the issues of climate and ecology”. When you think about all this, you inevitably come to the conclusion that for many on the left today, being insane must be the norm.
