This Sunday, five matches were scheduled in the Bundesliga. Austria Vienna celebrated a 2:1 victory at Admira and can therefore celebrate entering the championship group. But the violets had to run after a deficit first. In the 8th minute, Admira took the lead after a free kick. Wilhelm Vorsager scored with a header to make it 1-0. The Viennese only answered in the 64th minute of the game. Grünwald made it 1-1 and brought Austria back into the master group. Joker Vucic was able to bring Austria’s victory dry with his goal.
City rivals Rapid also made it into the master group. The Hütteldorfer didn’t show any weaknesses in the 3:0 win against Austria Klagenfurt. Youngstar Zimmermann scored twice. New signing Druijf was able to get into the penalty area in injury time and fix Rapid’s 3-0 win. Despite the defeat, Klagenfurt are also in the master group.
Sturm Graz provided active help here. The Styrians got a 2:2 draw in Ried. There were no goals in the first half of the game. That changed in the second half. Nutz hit the lead for the Innviertler from 14 meters. After 66 minutes, storm kicker Sarkaria had too much space and sank the ball into the net from a good eleven yards. In the 78th minute, Mikic made Rieder celebrate again after his successful solo run. Mikic slammed the ball into the cross corner and put SV Ried back in the lead. However, the home side had to make do with one man less from the 81st minute. Ried goalkeeper Radlinger was sent off after an unnecessary outing after fouling Niangbo. 88 minutes were played when Sturm equalized in the person of Wüthrich, who pushed the ball over the line after a corner. With that, Ried has to enter the qualifying group.
After two defeats in a row at LASK, the WAC was able to celebrate a complete success again. The wolves triumphed 1-0 in Upper Austria. LASK had no chance of winning the championship group before the game, while Wolfsberger already had the ticket in their pocket. The WSG from Tyrol also achieved a 1:0 victory in Hartberg.
