Facebook and Twitter have been blocked in Russia since Friday evening. The Federal Service for Supervision in the Field of Information Technology and Mass Communications, Roskomnadzor for short, announced the decision because of numerous “discriminations against Russian media and information services”.
Pictures are no longer displayed on Facebook and no comments can be made. Twitter, in turn, reads: “This message (material) was prepared and (or) disseminated by a foreign media company acting as a foreign agent and (or) a Russian legal entity acting as a foreign agent.”
