Putin’s luxury yacht “Graceful” is developing into a bizarre sideshow of the Ukraine war. The 87 million euro and 80 meter long ship has been in the port of Hamburg since September 2021 – a few weeks ago she fled it (eXXpress reported). Shortly after Russian troops invaded Ukraine, hackers attacked the ship.
As reported by “Welt”, the yacht became the target of a cyber attack. Anonymous hackers boasted on Twitter that they had infiltrated the luxury yacht’s marine positioning system. Bizarre movements of “Graceful” could be observed. The ship suddenly appeared at the obviously invented port “Fckptn”, which can be read as an insult to the Russian President by adding three vowels.
After that, “Graceful” suddenly stranded on Snake Island, the island that had briefly gained notoriety through radio communications between Ukrainian and Russian soldiers. The ship was then on its way again – the new destination was called “Hell”.
But where is “Graceful” actually located? After the abrupt departure from the port of Hamburg, insiders followed their trail. “Graceful” was usually supposed to be in the Black Sea, where the Russian head of state is also said to own a luxurious property, the “Putin Palace” – but that didn’t happen.
Presumably knowing that war was coming in a few days, Putin had his ship take a different route. “Graceful” was first photographed in the Kiel Canal, then the yacht sailed past Rügen towards Russia. The last known position of the yacht was the port of Kaliningrad.
