The Constitutional Court has sent a comprehensive request to the Minister of Health and has now received an equally comprehensive answer – the eXXpress reported. The answer, however, is confidential and secret, not actually intended for the public, but all the more enlightening. This time, eXXpress editor-in-chief Richard Schmitt talks to top physician Marcus Franz about the cornerstones of the 57-page letter and what it means.
For the first time, the average age at death of all people who died from Corona is given: 82 years. For Marcus Franz it is clear: “It is a lung disease of old people, and not a disease of young people.” This raises further questions, such as: Why wasn’t this group specifically protected? “A lot went wrong in communication,” says the doctor. With a pandemic, you have to look first: “Who is it affecting first of all?” But they were all lumped together. “No intentional mistakes were made, but targeted measures were forgotten,” says Franz.
