Russian President Vladimir Putin has put his country’s nuclear forces on high alert amid tensions with the West over the war in Ukraine. He announced this at a meeting with his top advisors on Sunday. He accused Western countries of taking “unfriendly” steps against his country in the face of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
