There could not be a stronger (life) sign and a more appropriate statement for an important – and often life-saving! – be a good thing when celebrities undress for a good cause on German TV on Tuesday evening – yes really! Because at 8:15 p.m., a new episode of the hit show “Showtime of my life” goes on air on VOX, in which popular stars from television and society defoliate to draw attention to an insidious disease that can affect us all: cancer. And in this context reminded that preventive medical check-ups can save lives.
Sonya Kraus (48) is one who can testify to this firsthand – and on Tuesday on VOX will be “at the forefront” of the TV stage. It is almost fateful what happened to the popular German presenter last year: On a day in September 2021 she just had the preliminary talk for “Showtime of my life”, on one day there was an examination by the doctor in the calendar. He discovered a lump in the chest of the full-blooded blonde entertainer.
At first, Kraus didn’t think much about it, he was sure that it had to be a benign cyst – after all, she was in great shape, healthy, slim, happy, and felt fine. But then came the shock diagnosis: It was cancer! The lump was a small but highly aggressive tumor. Sonya Kraus drew radical conclusions: just a month later, the presenter had both breasts removed to make sure that the cancer was not only gone, but also definitely could not come back. Her breasts – her lush cleavage was always one of her trademarks – she then had an operation to rebuild them.
