Despite the sometimes violent suppression of the demonstrations in the Canadian capital Ottawa, people are not giving up on standing up for their freedom. Prime Minister Trudeau is coming under increasing pressure.
In the last few days, the Canadian police have repeatedly cracked down on the Freedom Convoy demonstrators and their supporters with full force. An elderly woman was also injured by mounted police officers. At first, this incident led to speculation that the woman – reportedly a Native American – died, but this has not been confirmed. The website “Red State“ reported with reference to a Facebook-Posting the lady’s alleged niece that she broke her collarbone in the incident.
Meanwhile, the protests initially continued. Even those previously arrested often returned to the protests.
According to the police, 100 people were arrested on Friday and 70 people on Saturday – apparently so that they could finally claim to the authorities that they had done something. The police officers were very aggressive and beat up some people and reporters. You can also see this in a video where a protester appears to be hit with a rifle butt.
But there was something strange about these “arrests”: Many of those arrested said they were driven several blocks or a few miles away and then simply released. They received no subpoenas and were not formally charged.
However, the harsh measures against the demonstrators in Ottawa have led to solidarity rallies in other parts of the country.
A number of MEPs have now declared that they will be on Monday will not vote for the emergency lawincluding the Conservatives and some MPs from Quebec.
Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has said he will challenge the ordinance in court as it is unnecessary, disproportionate, violates natural law, encroaches on provincial jurisdiction and sets a dangerous precedent.
Now the question arises as to when there will be a showdown of the tyrannical Trudeau regime, which is fully at the service of Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum (WEF).
