As of today, Saturday, the strict 2G rule will no longer apply in almost all areas and will be replaced by the 3G rule. From March 5th, almost all corona measures should be a thing of the past. Seen in this way, February 19 is a first step towards the “new normal”. However, there are no corona numbers for today. What’s going on here? Normally, at 8:00 a.m. sharp, the new positive results from the country laboratories are reported to the EMS.
The Ministry of Health then checks the raw data for duplicates using the so-called “Line List”. The corona numbers will then be published from 9.30 a.m. But on the opening Saturday of all days, the numbers have so far failed to materialize. The responsible authorities have not yet announced the number of new infections in the last 24 hours. According to “heute.at” there is an “interface problem”. The raw data was therefore not reported at the EMS. According to the Ministry of the Interior, it is therefore questionable whether there will be any corona numbers at all today.
In any case, 31,166 new infections and 34 deaths were registered across Austria from Thursday to Friday. 194 seriously ill patients were in intensive care.
