On Thursday, Graz almost broke the record and recorded 22 degrees – this is the second highest value in the city’s history. In general, last Thursday was exceptionally warm, but also very stormy. Anyone who has already developed feelings of spring will have to be patient – it will be colder again at the weekend. On Sunday it should even get below zero in some parts of the country. Storm gusts of up to 68 km/h are expected, but the worst seems to be over. On Sunday the lows are minus 4 degrees, the highs are 8 degrees.
While we are only expecting isolated gusts of wind, the situation in Great Britain is different: the highest weather warning level has now been declared in London. They are preparing there for the arrival of storm “Eunice”, which was christened “Zeynep” in Germany. According to the BBC, it could be one of the strongest storms to hit the country in decades. As the British weather service Met Office announced, there is a risk of death due to flying debris at storm speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour. Covered roofs, uprooted trees and disturbances in train and ship traffic are to be expected. People on the coast have been warned of large waves and flooding.
