Markus Anfang officially resigned as Werder Bremen coach on November 20th. He was accused of forging his vaccination card. His assistant coach Florian Junge also had to go. Particularly explosive: Beginning could be seen in photos of carnival events, all of which were held under the 2G rule. At first, both did not want to comment on the investigation. Subsequently, Markus Anfang admitted his misconduct, which is why the case was not resolved in court.
Nevertheless, the vaccination card scandal has consequences for the beginning. Because the sports court of the German Football Association banned him on Tuesday retrospectively from November 20 for a year, but suspended this sentence on probation from June 10. This means that he was not allowed to train any teams until November 20 and also have to pay a fine of 20,000 euros.
From 1998 Markus Anfang played for FC Tirol. He was Austrian champion three times in a row. After bankruptcy he returned to Germany. From 2008 – 2009 he returned to Austria to Wacker Innsbruck.
