It was a spectacular slalom in Schladming. There were only 1,000 spectators in Schladming. From a purely sporting point of view, however, the night race on the Planai offered an exciting race. In the end, Linus Straßer won ahead of Atle Lie McGrath (+0.03). However, Manuel Feller caused the sensation. After the first run, the Tyrolean was still in 28th place. After an unbelievable race to catch up, Feller secured third place (+0.39).
The ÖSV runner missed the slalom in Kitzbühel due to a corona infection. The authorities finally gave him the green light to start today, Tuesday. Without any ski training in his legs, he ended up on the podium. The leader after the first round, Kristoffer Jakobsen, retired, as did second Giuliano Razzoli. Marco Schwarz was the second best Austrian in 17th place (+1.37). Johannes Strolz and Fabio Gstrein were eliminated in the first round. Dominik Raschner didn’t finish either.
