The man was in a clinic in the 16th district of Vienna because of lung problems and suspected Covid infection. During the course of the treatment, he is said to have threatened the doctor on duty with killing her and repeatedly pointed to a bag he was carrying with him, which contained sharp scissors.
He also independently removed the venous access he had already used and then tried to spray the doctor with his blood. The suspect was known to have hepatitis C. Due to his aggressive behavior, the security service and the police were informed. The Slovak national was then arrested without resistance. He was reported on suspicion of making a dangerous threat, on suspicion of intentionally endangering people through communicable diseases and on attempted physical harm.
