A current official faux pas from Linz shows what a tiny typo can do: Anyone who has been infected with corona in the Upper Austrian capital and has received a positive test result will be promptly informed by the authorities that they will be eliminated immediately Quarantine effect. So far, so clear – but also the information sheet, which informs about the currently valid quarantine regulations, is not immune to errors: In at least one case on Sunday, the magistrate wanted to lock a corona-positive person away for 10 months!
This is obviously due to a typo, because instead of 15.1. it says in the letter that the quarantine until November 15. should last – and since it is a standardized text, several people should have received the text on that day, as reported by “oe24”.
However, the eXXpress can confidently give the all-clear: What has been the rule in all of Austria since Saturday also applies to Linzers: the quarantine can also be ended early in Linz and also for infected people if a negative PCR test is present after five days.
