As reported, Bohrn-Mena “joked” that there are not only water cannons but also flamethrowers that the police could use against the demonstrators. As every historically informed Austrian knows, this weapon is outlawed in warfare as an incendiary weapon. To “recommend” it to the police as a weapon against peaceful demonstrators, therefore caused severe criticism from many eXXpress readers.

This statement is also irritating because only recently police officers cracked down on Corona demonstrators in the Netherlands.
