The “Take Five” has stood for exuberant parties for decades. Even the Viennese restaurateur Martin Ho described the takeover of the club as an “irresistible opportunity”.
And this opportunity was used promptly. Immediately after opening on December 27, 2021, the renovated restaurant was full. Pictures of the wild celebrations quickly made the rounds. The Kitzbühel District Commission also saw this. The authorities therefore moved out on New Year’s Eve and closed the club. The official reason, however, was not a violation of the strict Corona rules or even the infection of an employee, but a “formal error”, as Ho also confirmed to “Austria”.
Due to the “regulation chaos and the holidays” the registration of the manager was delayed. Martin Ho sees it as a pure “show of strength by an officer”. Christian Harisch, Kitzbühel hotelier, tourism chairman and lawyer comes to Ho’s aid. “If it really is a matter of a formal error, then I am more than surprised why the closure took place exactly on December 31st.” In this case, the entrepreneur could have been given a grace period.
