Kitzbühel – a place for glamor, celebrities and parties and skiing! But the ski tourism is in the new series “Kitz”, which can be seen in Kitzbühel since Thursday, is rather less important. It’s much more about revenge and intrigue. In order to get revenge on the girl who is responsible for the death of her brother, a waitress from Kitzbühel infiltrates the young crowd in Munich. One year after skiing talent Joseph (played by Felix Mayr) died in a car accident, arrogant influencer Vanessa (Valerie Huber) returned to Kitzbühel.
Before his death, Joseph and Vanessa had a secret relationship. Joseph Lisi’s sister (Sofie Eifertinger) blames Vanessa for her brother’s death. Lisi also blames Vanessa for the fact that she renounced her fashion scholarship in London and now works as a waitress in Kitzbühel. That’s why Lisi is out for revenge together with her gay friend Hans (Ben Felipe).
But anyone who expects an accent in the dialogues will be disappointed. Because the actors speak high German without exception. “Kitz” quickly develops into an exciting thriller series about the culture clash to an “Aspen of the Alps”. In any case, one thing is certain: the greatest secrets are buried in Kitzbühel. But when the snow melts, the truth emerges. The new German Netflix series (from December 30th) offers much more than excessive parties and a dazzling surface. “You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover,” sums up actress Valerie Huber.
