According to information from “Bild”, Lapaczinski will receive a severance payment. Originally, the team manager from Cologne, who was released weeks ago, was supposed to return. But now nothing will come of it. The Cologne bosses agreed to terminate the contract. There was no official statement from those responsible. Lapaczinski is already sick with Corona, so he is considered to have recovered. Nevertheless, those responsible at 1. FC Köln did not agree with his attitude to the Corona issue.
As a manager, he has daily contact with the team. Incidentally, the billy goat team is fully vaccinated. Apart from the Corona issue, however, the relationship between Lapaczinski and the new athletic leadership was not the best.
