Two absolutely harmless tweets are likely to have emotionalized the political opponents of the ex-Chancellor again: Sebastian Kurz posted a photo of the Christmas tree on the web and wrote that he was looking forward to the first Christmas with his baby Konstantin, and he also posted in English Christmas wishes on Twitter.
While almost all of the 5300 comments on Facebook were very positive, a wave of hatred for the ex-Chancellor’s Christmas greetings followed on the short message platform Twitter.
Most often Sebastian Kurz was told about the chat between the ex-ÖBAG boss and one of his employees that the ÖVP was “the whore of the rich”. Obviously, the posters should not be aware that this posting comes from 2017 – i.e. from a time when Reinhold Mitterlehner was the ÖVP federal party chairman.
In addition, the left haters of Sebastian Kurz’s “Merry Christmas” wishes criticized his English and praised the Economic and Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (WKStA). Quote: “Merry Christmas, Shorty – the best present for Austria came from the WKStA.” The user alludes to the investigations of the judiciary against Kurz – after all, two proceedings are pending: an investigation into the suspicion of false testimony before the Ibiza investigative committee, as well as the leg scraping procedure in which Kurz is listed as a suspect.
