Omikron not a cause for panic, just hope

Südafrika gibt Entwarnung: Omikron kein Grund zur Panik, sondern zur Hoffnung

The CEO of Netcare Ltd, the largest health company in South Africa, Richard Friedland, caused a stir with a public statement: The Omikron variant of the Covid virus would give reason to be confident – because it theoretically even the end of the virus – at least as far as its potential danger to the human species is concerned – could mean. Although there are breakthroughs in vaccination through Omikron, the course of the disease is very mild. However, the whole thing was so poorly communicated that panic arose.

A comment by Daniel Matissek

Concerning the latter point, Friedland is wrong – because the communication was not “bad”, but wanted exactly: Western panic politicians and pandemic alarmists came across this mutant when they were called upon to avoid the vaccination campaign as well as other restrictions and freedom restrictions for an indefinite period of time to be able to continue.

Friedländer’s statements about Omikron are consistent with all previous knowledge about the new variant. Professor Barry Schoub, who was the first to discover the variant, also said at the end of November that this might be more of a “hidden blessing” than bad news – because Omikron could become the dominant Covid mutation, but it was very mild and could quickly displace the more dangerous Delta variant, precisely because it is much more infectious.

Hardly any problems with the variant in South Africa

Angelique Coetzee, chairwoman of the South African Medical Association, also refers to the extremely mild course of the disease. The symptoms of patients infected with the Omicron variant are completely different and milder than anythingwhat they’ve covered before. So far, no hospital treatment has been necessary for anyone with Omikron. All of the colleagues she interviewed would confirm this.

Meanwhile, in the USA and Europe, the fear of the Omikron variant is being misused to stir up new panic and to further propagate the at least questionable vaccinations. Politics, pharmaceutical companies and the media will ultimately benefit from the continuation of the pandemic: Statesmen can stage themselves as determined managers of a de facto non-existent major crisis, vaccine manufacturers record two or soon three-digit, unprecedented billions in profits.

Beneficiaries of the pandemic not interested in the truth

The ailing media industry hopes for financial restructuring – by spreading daily horror scenarios and fueling ever new fears. These diverse interest groups are de facto not fighters, but rather beneficiaries of the Covid virus. It is therefore to be expected that the truth about the harmless nature of the Omicron variant will be blocked by all means – and to be sought exactly in the opposite direction to everything that is told to us by the authorities.
