“Splash them from the asphalt today”: Anger at vaccination demonstrators escalates online
24 demos are expected this Saturday in downtown Vienna. The mood is extremely heated in advance. The rifts between the individual groups are getting deeper and deeper. After violence broke out at the last demo, the anti-vaccination groups are now divided among themselves. But also among the vaccination advocates the anger is growing.
In addition to the FPÖ, the “usual suspects” have again called for today’s demo. With one major exception: after the violent antecapades at the last rally, organizer Alexander Ehrlich called on his 16,000 Telegram followers to stay at home today.
With these words, Ehrlich addresses his followers
He asks “his team” to stay away from the demo.
Police should take action
But the words of the vaccination advocates are also becoming more and more radical. On Twitter in particular, the Viennese police are repeatedly called upon to use violence against the demonstrators.
