Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin (36) is currently under heavy criticism. Last weekend, the head of government celebrated in a club until 4 a.m. The outrage is great: Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto (63) had tested positive for the corona virus just a few hours earlier.
The magazine “Seiska” published photos and videos from the wild party.
Meanwhile, Marin received an additional text message on her work cell phone. They advised her to avoid contact with other people. The Prime Minister overlooked this, however, as she had only taken her private cell phone with her.
The Social Democrat wrote on Facebook that she “enjoyed the nightlife” with her husband and friends.
According to the “BBC”, Marin made sure beforehand whether she was a contact person and was allowed to go out. As a double vaccinated person, she was assured that she would not have to go into quarantine.
The opposition has now criticized the Prime Minister for not voluntarily isolating herself. According to the Finnish newspaper “Helsingin Sanomat”, this is also written in the Corona guidelines for members of the government.
“I should have used better judgment and double-checked the information given to me,” apologized Sanna Marin. Postscript: “I am very sorry that I did not understand that I should have done that.”
