The incident took place in Belgrade on Tuesday afternoon. Former basketball player Dragan Labovic (34) beat up a taxi driver. The curious reason: Due to the corona pandemic, he was not allowed to take a seat next to the taxi driver. This upset the former national player so much that he lost his temper. Labovic fought a heated argument with the taxi driver. Both get out of the car, whereupon the ex-basketball player strikes. Then he ran away with the car.
According to Serbian media reports, the basketball player drove to a kindergarten where his mother works. An eyewitness reports: “He yelled and gestured uncontrollably. Who knows what would have happened if he had started kindergarten. ” Labovic became European champion in 2005 with the Serbian U18. In addition, he was named the best player of the tournament. His professional career has taken him to Greece, Russia, Germany and Turkey, among others. Labovic was arrested by the police and is now facing court for car theft.
