Fix: The lockdown for vaccinated people ends on December 12th
The recently sworn Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) wants to “create trust”, “take away people’s fears”. Now he promised a fixed end to the lockdown – of course only for the unvaccinated.
Further details on the end of the lockdown will be discussed in the Federal Chancellery at the Corona summit on Wednesday. The question is no longer whether the lockdown will end, but with what security measures. “It’s about the question of how,” said Chancellor Nehammer. “We have to be clear about the fact that the coronavirus will be part of our lives,” he clarified. But he assures: the lockdown will end for vaccinated people!
In addition to retail, Nehammer also included gastronomy and the hotel industry in this promise upon request.
He pointed out that the governors had already decided in advance on the three-week duration of the lockdown. There is a positive tendency that needs to be turned into a trend. In any case, one will proceed as carefully as possible.
