It would have been, “there is no other way of saying it, surely most of the citizens of this country would have wished that the next health minister would be a specialist who can do really well and that his name should be Karl Lauterbach”, announced Olaf Scholz today the next piece of the puzzle of Germany’s demise.

Well – poets and thinkers are meanwhile in short supply in Germany: Certainly one or the other Michel will clap this joyful message. After all, Lauterbach has been accompanying people through the countless television evenings of the “pandemic” for so long – many of them have grown fond of him, like a character in their personal favorite soap. The memory of Germans seems to be generally bad, otherwise they would not repeat the mistakes of the past at regular intervals like demented chimpanzees. And otherwise one or the other Lauterbach groupie might have noticed that their new health minister’s only expertise is trumpeting false claims as facts at prime time.
As early as June, his list of missteps was enough for BILD for an article with the title “10 Corona errors from virus expert Lauterbach“, In which it became more than clear that a“ virus expert ”can in truth be out of the question. That is logical, because even if Lauterbach falsely likes to refer to himself as an epidemiologist, he has no verifiable expertise in this with his degree in public health. And all his errors are the same that he has sold them with the fervor of conviction cheekily as facts – without any reliable data. This not only makes it clear that the Corona policy has very little to do with science, but also holds up a mirror to the chronically authoritative Germans in an almost amusing way. Obviously, to a large extent, they still believe everything that any fool on the telly tells them.
Of course, Lauterbach’s mistakes were by no means over after the summer. Most recently, he embarrassed himself by saying that it has been absolutely clear for months that every adult needs to be boosted – although shortly before he had stated that a “booster vaccination for everyone” was now in no way sensible. He made a similar about-face on the subject of mandatory vaccinations, which he takes for granted today advocates.
However, no insight into his ridiculous zigzag course can be expected on his part. He doesn’t have to show it either: Michel quickly forgets. His demand for clinic closings in 2019 (the consequences of which he would nowadays like to seal the unvaccinated) was finally forgotten by his fans, as was his involvement in the Lipobay scandal.
A few years ago he was still known for carrying out drug studies on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry. He received over 800,000 euros in third-party funding for this in 2000 alone.
He was also involved in a study of the fat-reducing drug Lipobay – the drug that the manufacturer Bayer withdrew from the market in 2001 because of fatal incidents. Lauterbach took no notice of the early evidence that Lipobay was possibly dangerous, any more than his clients did.
With its new government, Germany will, as so often, reap what it has sown. However, times could soon get tougher for the “Corona Heulboje”: Those who are chronically wrong will not deliver any results – and as Federal Health Minister, the German Michel will sooner or later look to Lauterbach for the politically decreed Corona misery. It promises to be interesting times, even if the last one realizes that an enforced 100% vaccination quota brings neither freedom nor salvation …
