In the summer, the cardiologist Dr. Sohrab Lutchmedial tweeted that he would “not cry” for deceased vaccinators. He no longer has to, because his own death meanwhile made sad headlines. He died suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep – shortly after his third vaccination.
Lutchmedial, cardiologist at New Brunswick Heart Centre in Canada, died in his sleep on November 8th at the age of just 52 – less than two weeks after receiving his third Covid-19 vaccination (“booster”).
Lutchmedial was even among colleagues as a downright militant and highly illiberal advocate of the Covid vaccination: On July 10, 2021, he said in a tweet that he would “not cry” at the funeral of people who refused to be vaccinated for “selfish” reasons. A month before his death, he added it again – and even expressed the wish to slap people in the face who had convinced others not to be vaccinated. This tweet has since been deleted; however, screenshots still exist.
Lutchmedial received his first vaccination on January 16, when only Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were administered in Canada. He had been photographed in a publicly effective way.
That New Brunswick Heart Centre expressed dismay at the death of his decade-long employee, whom it – according to the more and more frequently read, meaningful public language regulation – as “suddenly and unexpected” designated. An at least obvious connection with the recent booster vaccination was of course not established. The exact cause of Lutchmedial’s death and to what extent the vaccination contributed to his death remains unclear; however, the proximity to the booster shot gives cause for concern.
Lutchmedial was a family man and among other things leaves behind a mentally ill son.
