The woman was touched by a previously unknown driver in Altheim (Braunau am Inn district) when she wanted to cross an intersection. The driver of a white small car continued his journey without stopping on the Treubacher-Landesstraße in the direction of Braunau.
The accident happened around 0.50 a.m., she was on her eScooter on the L1095 in the direction of the town square and wanted to cross the intersection with Braunauer-Straße. The car is likely to have damage in the left front bumper area and the lighting package. A manhunt carried out immediately afterwards has so far been unsuccessful.
The woman, who wore a safety vest and was out and about with an eScooter that was compliant with the regulations, was injured and admitted to the Braunau hospital.
