Johnson: PCR test after arrival and self-isolation mandatory until the test result is available
Great Britain is trying to cope with the spread of the new Coronavirus variant Omikron with draconian measures. As the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Saturday afternoon in London, a mandatory quarantine will be imposed on all travelers. You’ll need to take a PCR test the second day after arriving and quarantine until you get a negative result, Johnson said.
The British prime minister commented after the omicron variant had been detected in two returnees from southern Africa. The Spanish government had tightened the entry requirements for the British. As of Wednesday, only fully immunized people from Great Britain will be allowed to enter Spain, a negative PCR test will no longer be sufficient. (APA / red)
