Not only the city of Vienna, which last week made people sit up and take notice with letters to unvaccinated people, inviting them to already reserved vaccination appointments, is making every effort to get the “Jaukerl” to even more people. The reverse is now being done by Uber: The travel service provider now wants to bring people to the Jaukerl – and for free. Because as Uber users were informed by email early on Wednesday afternoon: “Your free rides to the vaccination appointment are waiting for you!”. Under this subject, the travel service provider explains a special campaign that is available exclusively in Vienna and up to and including December 25, 2021 for all those eligible for vaccination in the federal capital.
Because those eligible for vaccination can now book free trips (worth up to 20 euros per trip, note) to and from the Viennese vaccination centers using the Uber app. The grant for the trip is financed entirely by Uber, and the operator receives the full fare.
