Although children rarely get seriously ill with Covid, people in Vienna boast about vaccinating children from the age of five with the controversial active ingredients without any approval or recommendation. Instead of finding sensible solutions, the federal government is unsettling schools and parents with increasingly unclear guidelines and recommendations.
The sending of a school director from Linz proves that it is high time for a change of direction with common sense. In it he confirms that both vaccinated and unvaccinated students are sick at his school. He also speaks of vaccination breakthroughs. His letter also shows what should be clear to all of us for a long time: The virus is also spread by people who have been vaccinated. This proves once again that vaccination does not offer any sterile immunity. This refutes all arguments that want to justify a Covid vaccination on children.
In his parents’ letter, the school principal wrote:
Dear students, dear parents, dear school community!
In view of the nationwide lockdown announced by the top government, we are currently confronted with a previously unique double message: On the one hand, the information that the schools will remain open and that classes are generally taking place in person and that there is therefore no comprehensive distance learning; on the other hand, the government’s clear appeal to parents to leave their children at home and not to send them to school. Due to the current state of information, the following applies to our school: We teachers will hold regular face-to-face classes on Monday, November 22, 2021 according to the timetable. The school work for the coming week will be held. Postponing it would add to the subsequent stress. The decree of the Ministry of Education is based on keeping schools open, but leaves parents free to leave their children at home.
There are good arguments for both attitudes, without claiming to be exhaustive I would like to mention:
The following speaks in favor of limited school attendance: Most virologists are in favor of a radical reduction in contact in order to limit the incidence of infections. Despite being vaccinated, you can get sick if not that difficult. There are vaccination breakthroughs at school too. People who have been vaccinated can also spread the virus, albeit shorter and less intense. The health authorities are overburdened and no longer have the time to quickly order a PCR test and deliver separation notices in suspected cases.
The following speaks in favor of maintaining the regular lessons as high as possible: More tests are carried out in schools, so the infection process can be observed more easily and it is easier to react. Faster learning progress is achieved in face-to-face teaching than in distance learning. The young people need social contacts and their restriction has negative effects on the psyche in one group, but it is dramatic for some students. Almost all teachers are vaccinated or have recovered. Many high school students are vaccinated.
In this situation politics delegates the decision to the parents, as a school we have to administer this as well as possible. We received the specification for this from the Ministry of Education: The timetable and face-to-face teaching remain in place. For those children who stay at home, assignments are sent through MS teams. There is no legal basis for hybrid lessons. If possible, it will be offered; there is no obligation to do so, neither for students nor for teachers. There is also a continuous mask requirement for the lower level, if possible an FFP2 mask. We have been carrying out the additional antigen tests in our school for a long time. It is recommended that graduating classes be given face-to-face. I wish you strength, patience and confidence in these challenging times.
Another year in which the government tortures the children with completely evidence-free measures and denies them their unrestricted right to education and makes it more difficult. It remains to be seen how long the parents will continue to play in this circus.
