Tens of thousands of people gathered today on the streets of Vienna for civilized and peaceful protests for their fundamental and freedom rights. The estimates range from over 40,000 (LPD Vienna press office) to 350,000 participants (according to the demonstration organizers).
A report by Edith Brötzner
The fact is: The evidence-free lockdowns and the announced compulsory vaccination from February 2022 (which represents a massive encroachment on personal rights) divide the population and drive the crowds to protest on the streets. Global solidarity rallies are currently taking place in front of the Austrian embassies for the freedom of Austrians. After several decades Austria sadly made it again perceived internationally as “fascist” (Statement by the Croatian President, we reported on it last.), because the federal government is pushing forward with evidence-free measures and massive curtailments of fundamental rights and freedoms.
Today’s rallies in Vienna have clearly shown that the population is nowhere near as inclined to split as the government wanted. Health workers, the Armed Forces union, “Police for Enlightenment” and a colorful cross-section of Austrians and participants from neighboring countries – vaccinated and unvaccinated – marched peacefully side by side for their basic rights through Vienna.
Tens of thousands of Austrians demonstrated against the announced compulsory vaccination
Even Falter editor Florian Klenk found surprising words on Twitter:
At the end of the day, that was an enormous number of people. And what irritates me most: There were an extremely large number of completely normal people. Young, old, left, right, green and consis. Schallenberg shouldn’t encourage these people any further. You have to act more politically now.

Furthermore wrote Klenk on Twitter: “To call the demo a collection of right-wing fools is nonsense. That is wider. That goes very deeply into society. “
Possibly a staged incident?
The mainstream media also feasted on you again this time possibly staged scandal: Four young boys are said to have thrown bottles and fireworks at police officers and were ultimately overpowered and arrested by around 25 well-equipped police officers with pepper spray in front of mainstream cameras.
The rallies should be seen by the Austrian government as an invitation and a clear sign of an urgent change of direction towards common sense. An actually implemented vaccination requirement would be a political knockout blow and would confirm the fascist image that is already clearly perceived internationally.
