First place went to Poland’s Kamil Stoch. The Olympic champion won with a superior maximum distance clearly ahead of the Slovenian Anze Lanisek and Huber. In contrast to Kraft, who had won the second training round immediately before, the remaining ÖSV athletes all made the cut. Jan Hörl (20th), Philipp Aschenwald (40th) and Daniel Tschofenig (47th) will be there on Saturday as well as Fatih Arda Ipioglu (41st), who was the first Turkish in history to qualify for a World Cup.

Another qualification follows on Sunday before the second individual competition. The Swiss Gregor Deschwanden is not there because of a positive corona test before leaving Russia.
