All Viennese who have not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus will soon receive a letter from the city: According to “Austria” and “wien.orf.at”, the letter consists of an invitation to be vaccinated, including an appointment that has already been reserved. The letter also includes an explanation of why vaccination is important and an explanation of the most common vaccination myths. The letter was written in cooperation with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK).
“Your personal appointment for the COVID vaccination is here!” Says the letter to the unvaccinated. For each addressee of the letter, a vaccination appointment was arranged in Impfstrasse in the Austria Center Vienna. For the first tranche, this is on November 26th. If you cannot or do not want to keep the suggested appointment, please cancel or postpone the appointment.
Apart from the health aspects of the vaccination, the letter also predicted: “As the pandemic progresses, more and more areas throughout Austria will be switched to the 2G rule (access only for fully vaccinated or convalescent people) to protect everyone. ”
Talks about such a cover letter to unvaccinated people with an already reserved vaccination appointment are also taking place with other federal states, but Vienna is the first federal state to also send the letter, said an ÖGK spokeswoman for the APA. Whether others will follow is open. However, a letter to the unvaccinated person from the ÖGK has already been decided. In this letter you should be informed about your increased risk of a severe course of Covid-19 in the event of an infection. The letter will be addressed to the persons concerned throughout Austria.
