The Australian government could still get its vaccination campaign very expensive: Thousands of people who are vaccinated are already demanding compensation for health problems they suffered in the context of the controversial Covid vaccinations. As a result, Australia is facing costs of at least AUD 50 million – the equivalent of around USD 37 million.
Like among other things Bloomberg with reference to Australian media reported, as of this writing, more than 10,000 people have signed up for a special Government program registered, which promises compensation for medical treatment and hospitalization as well as associated loss of income as a result of vaccination-related health problems. This is by no means about trivialities such as temporary pain at the puncture site, but about considerable side effects of the vaccine, which demonstrably (!) Made hospital stays necessary.
Compensation payments under the program start at A $ 5,000 but can go up to A $ 20,000 (approximately $ 14,585). Registrations for the program have only been possible since September – It is still unclear whether all applications will be granted, but the rush in this short period of time gives cause for concern.
The Australian Medicines Agency Therapeutic Goods Administration has allegedly only registered around 79,000 reported side effects of the Covid vaccine. The vast majority of this is mild in nature. The TGA has only received 288 reports for heart inflammation after vaccination with Bontech / Pfizer, and 160 for coagulation disorders with thrombocytopenia syndrome after the AstraZeneca vaccination. So where does the high number of significant side effects for which compensation is claimed?
