As plagiarism expert Dr. Stefan Weber pointed out the mass of foreign text passages in Annalena Baerbock’s “Werk” shortly after the book “Jetzt” was published, the Greens still accused him of character assassination. The public, however, showed little understanding that Baerbock adorned himself with foreign feathers over large parts of her book by adopting sections from other authors without labeling. Well the book was taken off the market.
Supposedly it was Baerbock himself who wanted to take this step: namely because she didn’t have time for a revision. She had previously stated that she wanted to add sources. The work involved seems to be quite extensive – too extensive, in any case, for the Greens’ co-boss to be able to cope with in her opinion in the near future.
The book published by Ullstein Verlag in June is no longer in print. It cannot be purchased in stores or as an eBook.
Dr. Stefan Weber had meanwhile already establishedthat Baerbock not only copied in her book, but also regularly uses foreign texts in her speeches, the formulations of which she adopts 1: 1. In September he stated accordingly:
All in all, it seems reasonable to assume that Annalena Baerbock was already socialized into copy & paste and text theft during her studies. She does not differentiate between her own and third-party intellectual property and has apparently not shy away from claiming other people’s formulations as her own for at least 13 years.
Such a politician can hardly speak of authenticity.
