Did an unvaccinated emergency patient die because they were refused treatment because of their vaccination status? A video that has gone viral through various social media in the past few days seems to suggest this. The hospital vehemently denies the allegations. An investigation is currently underway.

In view of the never-ending series of disturbing reports of increasingly unrestrained discrimination and hostility against unvaccinated people, which at times remind of a downright pogrom mood, one soon no longer knows which descriptions and reports one should still believe. As in a case from Karlsruhe in Baden, where outrageous allegations were made against the local city clinic at the weekend.
An unvaccinated emergency patient is said to have been inadequately treated there and finally died three days later, last Friday. A video circulating on Telegram shows a man in the clinic who is apparently lying with one leg restrained on a mattress directly on the floor. The room looks like a closet, not a sickroom. The usual connections, for example for oxygen, are missing on the walls, and there are no sockets for hospital beds either. An emergency bell also seems to be missing. None of this can in any way correspond to any admissible protocol for treating patients in a German hospital.
Would doctors trample the Hippocratic oath?
The pictures cause horror and indignation on the internet. Allegations of “failure to provide assistance” to “murder by failure” quickly made the rounds. Can something like that really be true? Are in a high-care clinic in the highly developed welfare state of Germany, with one of the allegedly (still) best health systems in the world, such conditions really conceivable? Would doctors in Germany trample the Hippocratic oath like that? As far as the last question is concerned, unfortunately, based on the experience of the last 12 months, one has to answer it with “yes” without reservation.
The fact that doctors refuse their patients treatment or deny access to their practices if they are not vaccinated already implies a willingness to go to extremes in the name of “popular hygiene”. In view of the psychosis caused by the fixation on this virus and the savior belief in vaccination such a scandal could well be imagined.
Absurd rumors could also be spread deliberately
If the fronts are so hardened, the uncompromising attitude of the other side in the raging war of information and opinion has meanwhile become so pronounced that a hasty, highly emotional shortening of a more complex issue would be conceivable. It is also possible to deliberately circulate such a rumor in order to maximally harm the vaccination regime and its medical vicarious agents.
The Karlsruhe City Clinic affected vehemently denied the incident. It announced via Facebook, “That the vaccination status of patients has basically no relevance for the specific therapy and treatment decision in individual cases.” Several German media took over the representation of the clinic.
Statistical misleading in vaccinated and unvaccinated hospital patients
The hospital stated currently around 63 percent of all currently treated COVID patients are not or incompletely vaccinated “or have an unclear vaccination status”. In the case of intensive care patients, “90 percent were not or incompletely vaccinated or had an unclear vaccination status”. This is supposed to say: If there were an internal practice or even instructions to no longer treat unvaccinated people, then this would have to affect far more patients than this one case. The clinic wants “until the matter is further clarified” take no position.
At least when it comes to the number of people who have been vaccinated, the Karlsruhe Clinic uses the same statistical misleading trick that is becoming more and more obvious across Germany: Over 65 percent of patients have an allegedly “unclear vaccination status”. What this means is now clear: These are vaccinated people whose vaccination status (which can be determined digitally or by passport) is no longer asked – while the explicitly unvaccinated are of course eagerly counted in order to give a new boost to the publicly desired mood .
Already 70 percent vaccinated in the hospitals
In fact, the simple reassignment of the majority of vaccinated patients to people with an “unclear vaccination status” allows the “vaccinated” actually counted in this way to be counted down to a tiny minority. Conversely, this gives the manipulated fearful citizens the impression that a majority of those hospitalized are “not vaccinated”. In truth, according to independent observers, the proportion of people who have been vaccinated is in the clinics probably already at 70 percent and thus at the same level as in the general population – which once again casts doubt on the thesis that vaccination protects against severe disease.
