They are pictures that you don’t see every day. When it comes to spectacular tricks on a motocross, no one can fool Thomas Pagés. In 2013 he won the Red Bull X-Fighters Tour for a reason. His “Bike Flip” secured him also in 2015 at the X Games in Austin (capital of the US state Texas). He is known for his unique tricks and daring style. Now the French dared to embark on a new adventure.
The video shows how he takes off with his motocross bike in Avoriaz – actually a winter sports resort in the French Alps on the border with Switzerland – and tries a “double frontlip”. The shots are impressive – as is the maneuver.
As he writes on Instagram, the project started two years ago. This stunt was also dedicated to the skydiver Vince Reffet, who tragically had an accident during training last year at the age of only 36. His insane stunts also made history. With carbon wings attached to the back and four engines, it flew over the skyline of Dubai in an Airbus A380.
But that’s not all: in April 2014, he and professional skydiver Fred Fugen erected a spectacular base jump from the Burj Chalifa in Dubai – after all, at 828 meters, the tallest building in the world. Together with Fugen, Thomas Pagés was able to realize this project for Reffet. “For me, a lifelong dream has come true,” emphasized Pagés.
