In view of the worsening corona situation, Austria is tightening the entry regulations. In principle, a 2.5G proof is required for entry from Monday. Antigen tests and antibody tests lose with it – except for commuter – their validity. For commuter (Job, school, study, family purposes, life partner) the 3G rule applies. This emerges from the entry regulation amended on Tuesday, which comes into force on Monday.
For commuter However, the entry regime will also be tightened: The previous privileged duration of the PCR test of seven days will be shortened to 72 hours. In the future, antigen tests will only be valid for 24 instead of 48 hours. The ninja pass for students is an exception for entry.
As throughout Austria, the period of validity of the vaccination certificate will be shortened from one year to nine months. There is a transition period until December 6th for this adjustment to the third Covid-19 Measures Ordinance.
The 2.5G rule includes people who are either PCR tested, vaccinated, or have recovered. 3G also includes those who have been tested with an official antigen test. (APA / red)
