More and more population and professional groups are fed up with the authoritarian tendencies of the turquoise-green federal government. Now the Armed Forces Union FGÖ-BHG has called for a large demonstration in Vienna. The reasons for this are explained in a detailed letter. In addition, it is stated: “Everyone can demonstrate – even in lockdown!”
Subject: Participation in the demonstration “For Freedom and Human Dignity”
The Armed Forces Union has decided to fly the flag with regard to the protection of fundamental and civil rights. Therefore we take part in the demonstration “For our fundamental and freedom rights” on November 20, 2021 in Vienna. We will meet at 3:45 p.m. under the banner of the FGÖ-BHG www.bundesheergewerkschaft.at at the rally at Platz der Menschenrechte, Mariahilfer Str. 1, 1070 Vienna.
The first page of the appeal by the armed forces union is kept short and sweet. This step is one of the most important since the resistance movements against the increasingly totalitarian plans of the federal government. In many countries, the military is a guarantee of stability and compliance with the constitution. When numerous members of this pillar of the rule of law, which is popular among the population, also take to the streets, there is a fire on the roof. The government must finally realize that it is increasingly alone with its plans, which, according to many critics, are heading in the direction of a (hygiene) dictatorship.
The armed forces union spoke up against compulsory vaccination for a long time for Austrian soldiers and servants. Corresponding letters have been sent to Defense Minister Tanner (ÖVP) several times. “There must therefore be no direct or indirect pressure on our soldiers and servants in the direction of forced Covid vaccination ”, said the President of the Armed Forces Union Manfred Haidinger in August. As the date progressed, the statements became sharper: End “state terrorism” immediately! Federal Armed Forces Union calls for the 3G regulation in the workplace to be withdrawn, No Covid harassment for the staff, Armed Forces Union calls for an efficient design of the 3G rule in the workplace as well Soldiers are not laborers! Armed Forces Union calls for services for the economy to be discontinued in the context of the pandemic.
Obviously the politicians are not interested in the concerns of the soldiers, which is why a demonstration is now being called. The rights guaranteed by the constitution are explained in more detail in a supplementary sheet:
That The right of assembly is a particularly protected good and additionally secured by successful objections against prohibitions in January.
The one announced for next Saturday, November 20, 2021 Demonstration for freedom and human dignity as well as against the division of society through the corona policy of the federal government can thus take place.
More and more people understand that the government, in its stubbornness, cannot be overcome with reasonable arguments and that they therefore have to fight for their fundamental rights and freedom. But many people are also concerned whether they will do this during the coming “Lockdowns for the unvaccinated” and whether they have to expect massive arbitrary reports and punishments from the police and health authorities again.
We hereby make it clear that participation in meetings is a particularly protected legal asset and is also taken into account in the current draft ordinance.
That means that the Participation in the demonstration is permitted for everyone is – including travel from all over Austria. The only thing to note here is that you must arrive by car or public transport. Attention: The 2G rule applies in rented buses.
It is certain that the demonstration can take place. A ban, as was the case in January, is out of the question. The prohibition of a gathering registered by citizens as well as the prohibition of a party rally were lifted as illegal. There is no longer any possibility of appeal against the judgments. They are therefore generally indicative for the right of assembly.
We expect the police to behave in a cooperative manner and refrain from escalations as they did at previous rallies.
As a union, we appeal to the demonstration participants and also to the police officers to fight for your freedom, which is currently severely restricted both in your private and professional environment.
