The next bang! As Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein announced Sunday evening in the ZiB2, exit restrictions are now also planned for all Austrians: “There will also be night exit restrictions for vaccinated people,” he said on ORF. The night gastronomy will then be closed. Details will be discussed on Wednesday. Then the package of measures should be discussed with the federal states. This package has it all. It includes, among other things, an FFP2 mask requirement indoors, a massive expansion of the PCR test requirement and strict event restrictions. In addition, this package of measures includes a lockdown, including night curfews, also for vaccinated people. It is also possible to lock the catering trade!
The lockdown for unvaccinated persons will apply from Monday 00.00 a.m. They are only allowed to leave their apartment or house for specific reasons, such as covering basic needs. Mückstein defended the measures applicable from midnight with the “dramatic situation in the intensive care units.” In addition, the announced mandatory vaccination for health workers is to be prepared by law. This should then apply in hospitals as well as old people’s and nursing homes. The Minister of Health also spoke out against compulsory vaccination for teachers. According to Mückstein, this would be constitutionally problematic.
