A person was killed in a car explosion in Liverpool on Sunday. The incident occurred in the morning in front of a women’s clinic in the center of the north-west English city, the police said. Another person was injured. The anti-terrorist unit took over the investigation. The vehicle is said to have been a taxi that had stopped shortly before the hospital.
“We remain open about the cause of the explosion,” said the police statement. But given the way in which it happened, as a precaution, the anti-terrorist unit is taking over the investigation. The incident has not yet been classified as a terrorist act.
