Jennifer Melin from Sundsvall, Sweden, was healthy, active and cheerful – until shortly after her Pfizer shot. The then 19-year-old had already received the first dose of the mRNA Covid vaccine in July and had to struggle with the first serious side effects only two days later: she lost feeling in her hands and feet and had significant balance problems. The symptoms steadily worsened – until a few days later she could no longer move at all without a wheelchair.
The local newspaper also had the sad story of the beautiful girl “Sundsvalls Tidning“Moved to a report in October – but the published article was very different from the draft that Jennifer Melin had initially been sent. Because while the latter had honestly reported that the symptoms had started two days after the Pfizer vaccination and that the now 20-year-old is absolutely convinced that the Covid vaccine triggered the neurological disorder, suddenly nothing more was to be read in the finished article. According to the published report, the disease came out of the blue.
No solidarity with vaccine victims
The portal CheckFact.org not only received the draft of the article and the section on the vaccination from Jennifer Melin, but also contacted Sundsvalls Tidning. The editor said the process of the change was completely normal. Since the vaccination is only “speculation” as the cause, one would not want to report about it. The focus of the story is on Jennifer’s symptoms.
Critical vaccination comments in the Facebook post on the article have been consistently deleted, according to Jennifer Melin, and the comment function has now been completely blocked. The girl does not feel taken seriously: She criticizes the fact that the vaccination is sold as an act of solidarity – but whoever gets sick because of the vaccination does not experience any solidarity at all.
The young woman was also abandoned by the health system. The vaccination as the cause was strictly rejected by a neurologist – although the 20-year-old with her paralysis after the shot is by no means an isolated case. Cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome (a nerve disease that also leads to paralysis) after the Pfizer vaccination, for example, have become public several times, including medical ones Case studies exist. Nevertheless, the doctor wanted to force Jennifer to get up and walk as if she were marking the symptoms and voluntarily coping with her daily routine in a wheelchair. Diagnostics using an MRI fizzled out: After waiting several weeks, the young woman found out from the clinic that the responsible person – what a coincidence – went on paternity leave – an evaluation of the pictures and a corresponding explanation of Jennifer did not take place. Only the community was of help to the girl, because they supported her in making her apartment wheelchair accessible. Rehabilitation has also been organized for her.
Everyday life now revolves around treatments
Jennifer has not been better off so far. The paralysis persists. She has no strength in arms or legs. Her life is different now – she no longer has any work, and she can no longer pursue her hobbies either. In the social media she reports on her medical treatments:
Am October 22nd she was happy to finally be able to get from floor to floor thanks to a newly installed stairlift at home – actually infinitely sad for a woman of 20 years. In one Posted on October 19 accused her:
When do we get compensation for our injuries? How shall we live We who are unemployed, how do we get money? Who wants to hire someone who is in a wheelchair and can hardly hold anything .. What should we do? We don’t get any answers to our questions.
There is now one Online donation campaign for Jennifer.
