The corona rules are becoming stricter both in Austria and in Germany. The volunteer fire brigade of the Bavarian municipality of Fuhrn does not want to put up with this and is therefore putting its service on hold.
The unvaccinated honorary president, who initiated the campaign, wants to use it to set a “silent protest” against the corona rules, reports the German newspaper “MZ”. Other board members did the same as the honorary president. “I’m not just a member of the board, I’m also a family man,” explains Mischa Käsbauer. Postscript: “We are excluded. And should I still volunteer for that? “
According to the mayor, Martin Birner (CSU), the fire protection is not at risk. The commanders are responsible for the active team, not the club. Therefore, the protest action has no direct impact on the deployment of the fire brigade.
The mayor is still concerned about the protest. “I really appreciate Mischa Käsbauer.” Although he respects his decision not to take advantage of the vaccination, he thinks: “Vaccinated and unvaccinated people should not attack each other, but respect each other.”
Should the criticism of the fire brigade get louder, the honorary president threatens to resign. “I am ready to step down from my position. I have nothing to lose, ”he said.
