Financed by compulsory levies from all German households discussed on Sunday evening in ARD talk with Anne Will the politicians Markus Söder (CSU) and Katrin Göring-Eckardt (Greens) and the chairwoman of the so-called German Ethics Council, Alena Buyx. With the Chairman of the World Medical Association, Frank Ulrich Montgomery, and the President of the German Nursing Council, Christine Vogler, two so-called experts complemented the group.
A comment by Max Bergmann
As if there were no other topics, the pandemic and the associated coercive measures were once again the dominant topic on Sunday evening at Anne Will on ARD. Measures intended to make the population compliant in the face of the worst democratic crisis since World War II. Of course, this was not addressed in that way, according to the narrative, one continues to speak of a “health crisis”. “We could be through with all of this if we’d all been vaccinated,” Söder claimed. He couldn’t prove it. Studies and figures from other countries show that a higher vaccination rate clearly does not stop the virus from circulating. Even the RKI has now deleted the claim from its website that people who have been vaccinated are hardly involved in the spread of the virus. It remains unclear what the Bavarian ruler meant by this statement. He also made the claim that the first hospitals were already reaching their limits. He owes no evidence, especially since the primary question is: How can that be? With a vaccination rate of 0 percent, the overloading of the health system – despite regular warnings – was never in sight. With today’s vaccination numbers, shouldn’t that be ruled out if, or better if, the vaccination protects? This too remains unanswered.
“Tyranny of the unvaccinated, who control over two thirds of the vaccinated”
Frank Ulrich Montgomery, Chairman of the World Medical Association, found particularly memorable, totalitarian words: “At the moment we are really experiencing a tyranny of the unvaccinated, which determines over two thirds of the vaccinated”, he scolded. “Tyranny?” Moderator Anne Will wanted to know more about that. “Yes, I use the term tyranny consciously, because in countries like Portugal, where 97 percent are vaccinated, all these restrictive measures no longer exist because they are no longer needed,” said Montgomery. “The thing is through in Portugal, we would have liked that too,” added Buyx, the Chair of the Ethics Council. Unfortunately, she too lacks evidence to support her claims. The effect of a high vaccination rate can also currently be seen in Bremen, added the Green parliamentary group leader Katrin Göring-Eckardt. Thanks to the highest vaccination rate in Germany, there is no overload of the hospitals there, she claims in front of an audience of millions. Unfortunately, Göring-Eckardt did not provide any evidence of the currently prevailing overloading of hospitals in regions with a low vaccination rate – a shame.
Population is being prepared for further lockdowns and curfews
As in the previous year, we are now again experiencing the political preparation of the population for further curfews, lockdowns and business closings. The word lockdown was also used increasingly towards the end of 2020 when it came to it. Usually at the beginning in the context that one must absolutely prevent further lockdowns, avert lockdowns or one must take measures, since otherwise the lockdown cannot be averted. This tactic can now be felt again, the terms “lockdown” and “prevent lockdown” have been used more frequently in recent weeks, comparable to 2020. It can be assumed that this is the slow, cautious introduction of the population to further drastic coercive measures – analogous to last year.
Majority of Germans for general vaccination – further lockdowns planned
The subject of mandatory vaccination was also on the agenda again for Anne Will. What the discussants apparently do not know: We have long been compulsory to be vaccinated. The 2G rules implemented across the board have long been tantamount to compulsory vaccination. Söder said a new lockdown for everyone would be “constitutionally critical and not tenable, especially with regard to the vaccinated”. So is the lockdown only for the unvaccinated? Isn’t the 2G rule already very close or equal to the lockdown for unvaccinated people anyway? 57 percent of the respondents in the ARD-DeutschlandTrend indicated that they were in favor of a general compulsory vaccination. Politicians should therefore not categorically rule out measures such as mandatory vaccination, said Frank Ulrich Montgomery. “We have a moral obligation because the patients are entrusted to us.” He also said: “What you have to stop with is someone standing up and saying, I will never be vaccinated, I will never be locked down give ”, and ends his speech by pointing out that these“ never-statements ”are simply wrong.
We are experiencing a tyranny of the vaccinated
With that he declared in front of an audience of millions: Yes, there will be compulsory vaccination (it already exists). And yes, there will be more lockdowns. Apparently soon. In addition, we cannot ignore an important correction. Of course we do not experience “tyranny of the unvaccinated”. We are experiencing a tyranny of the (meanwhile) vaccinated majority in this country, which has lasted for many months now, which not only suppresses the unvaccinated minority, but actively discriminates, excludes and socially ostracizes them. So we speak clearly of the almost fascist tyranny of the vaccinated against the unvaccinated. It is a shame that the presenter Anne Will did not fulfill her journalistic assignment here to correct that.
