Only recently the eXXpress reported on technical problems with the vaccination portal of the city of Vienna, on Monday those willing to be vaccinated were sent home without having done anything for the first time. The reason: Ironically, in the problem district of Favoriten (high incidence, low vaccination rate), they were obviously not prepared for the onslaught that had been triggered in many places by the nationwide introduction of 2G for gastronomy, culture and body-friendly services. Last weekend alone, the rush in the capital was about twice as high as usual.
As eyewitnesses report, more than 100 people waited at the vaccination center on Reumannplatz on Monday morning – many of them in vain. There was only one doctor on site who left at noon on the dot. As a result, the security sent dozens of people waiting without having done anything.
“The rush was enormous,” reported SEO expert Michael Polixmair. The City of Vienna has already responded to the criticism and apologized for the inconvenience. Now the capacities are to be increased, especially in the largest vaccination route in the country, i.e. in the ACV, there will be more resources. But also in the Lugner-City and at the vaccination center in St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
