The bodybuilder scene is in shock. At the weekend it was announced that “Mr. Olympia ”Shawn Roden passed away at the age of only 46. He is reported to have died of a heart attack. Rhoden’s trainer Chris Aceto previously confirmed to close friends that the bodybuilder has passed away. Sports colleagues, fans and experts mourn the bodybuilder legend. Rhoden’s career began in 1992. Former Mr. Universe champion Yohnnie Shambourger was his role model. However, he suffered several injuries that prevented him from participating in competitions.
Shortly afterwards, his father died, which is why the bodybuilder developed an alcohol addiction. At first, this addiction put an end to any chance of a successful career for him. However, he made the comeback, returned to bodybuilding and eventually turned pro in 2010. It wasn’t until July 2019 that Rhoden was accused of sexually assaulting another female bodybuilder in a Salt Lake City hotel. However, the allegations have never been proven or invalidated. In 2018 he was named “Mr. Olympia ”and thus the oldest bodybuilder to ever win the title.
