A reader from the Steyr area turned to us with astonishment. He had received a corona notice from the local government, which showed him to be positive, but it was not contagious and could therefore end his quarantine. No further explanations were found. We asked around.
The decision seemed very strange at first – both for the person who received it and for us in the editorial office:
You ((xxx xxx)) tested positive (non-contagious) for CoviD19 on November 1st, 2021. Your quarantine is hereby lifted. Your self-testing was successful. Your Magistrate of the City of Steyr, 07252 / 575-585
Like right now? someone was in corona quarantine, went “freest”, was tested “positive” there – and then let loose again on humanity as an apparently infected person? What’s going on there? We asked the issuing authority, the Steyr magistrate:
The term “non-infectiously positive” means: the ct value is higher or equal to 30. This value is specified in the “Recommendation for the health authorities to release Covid-19 cases from isolation” by the Federal Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, Nursing and consumer protection (as of October 21, 2021).
In this recommendation, the so-called free testing of asymptomatic persons is regulated under point III. It says: at the earliest 14 days after sampling with initial laboratory diagnosis of the pathogen or at the earliest 10 days after sampling with initial laboratory diagnosis of the pathogen and negative PCR test or Ct value equal to or greater than 30.
At this point it should also be mentioned that the magistrate officials in Steyr acted in an exemplary manner according to the instructions given to them and, thankfully, took care of our inquiry quickly and completely.
Immediately back in the wild with a positive PCR test
While the population in Austria has been locked into quarantine since the beginning of the alleged pandemic until October 2021, as soon as the PCR test even worked, there is now a Ct value of 30 as a measure of an alleged infection or infectivity. We explain why this is so.
Also the Ct value 30 is arbitrary and not meaningful
So that there are no misunderstandings: Of course, a Ct value of 30 in the PCR test is still completely arbitrary and still suitable for generating false positive values. In addition, there are no standard specifications for the cleanliness of the test carried out – Contamination and the liquid to be tested can still occur in all possible places. In addition, many test kits are not even welded, and nothing is known about the actual sterility of the materials used. All of this would have to be fulfilled for the PCR test to be meaningful in the laboratory. Only a doctor who knows the patient and has personally assessed a person can decide about a person’s health or illness.

In the table below you can see how often the genetic starting material is multiplied in the PCR test. The idea of the test is that in a larger amount, it is easier to determine whether there are specific DNA sequences that you are looking for. The duplication does not change the original material, but the fragments of it are randomly and randomly recombined. This leads to the fact that from special Ct values one suddenly finds “positive results” for everything “in the soup”. However, these sequences were not necessarily contained in Ct 0 (= starting material, not yet run through a cycle), they could have arisen by chance somewhere along the way. That is why the inventor of the method, Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Kary Mullis, said that one finds “all in all” with the PCR methodif you just repeat the cycles enough times.
Anything above Ct 24 is considered a bad witch spell
In an article about the unspeakably fraudulent claim of being able to detect coronavirus strains in wastewater, we calculated very precisely and explained why this is not possible both physically and mathematically: found corona viruses in the water of the sewage treatment plant? If everything smells like fraud There are an unimaginable 45 cycles run (35,184,372,088,832 times the initial value). The chance is given that the complete DNA of your house cat can be detected in this amount. And yes, of course also those of real existing or also fictitious virus mutations.
The method is of course to be enjoyed with caution even with lower Ct values, in some health authorities (we know it fix from Frankfurt) it was common practice before the corona madness to only recognize values up to 24 – anything above would be too uncertain. A very interesting article on the topic was published on October 27, 2020 at Corona-Transition.org: Scientific data show that the evaluation of the current number of new infections is incorrectwhere a Ct value of 24 is also explained as a reasonable limit. It was also complained that there is nowhere a state regulation that is based on this limit value, which opens the door to arbitrariness. The key message is:
Since only the viral RNA and not the entire, intact virus is detected by means of PCR, SARS-CoV-2-RNA detection is not automatically to be equated with infectiousness or contagiousness of the patient.
The arbitrariness of the Ct values in the course of time
Politics, on the other hand, where probably hardly any person even knows how a PCR test works and what Ct values mean, has repeatedly set other limits in complete arbitrariness. For example, here is a source where a laboratory claims that humans only from proof of a Ct value of 36 would no longer be contagious. A similarly entertaining piece of information was provided by “Deutsche Welle” in the article: What is the CT value and how is it obtained? It claimed that in the UK, coronaviruses could be propagated in a sample that was propagated with a CT value of 35. People whose samples were found this way could be highly contagious. The statement is hair-raising unscientific, the cited study doesn’t say so either.
Since the study already mentions in the abstract that “asymptomatic patients” can spread the virus further, it can be assumed that the commissioned work was incorrect in terms of method and content. The recommendation of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Austria that evidence with a value above 30 should no longer be considered contagious, is relative new (October 2021) but just as arbitrary and not evidence-based.
