Explosion in mosque: At least 15 dead in Afghanistan
At least 15 people were killed in an explosion during Friday prayers in a mosque in Kandahar, southern Afghanistan, and 31 others were injured. However, according to a former representative of the provincial council, the number of victims could increase. Taliban special forces deployed in August in Afghanistan took power, secured the site. The population was asked to donate blood.

Press photos on social media showed numerous people who were apparently dead or seriously injured on the blood-smeared floor of the Shiite mosque. There are no further details yet.
Just a few days ago, dozens of people were killed in an attack on a mosque in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz. The radical Islamic militia Islamic State (IS) had claimed the act for itself.
A radical Islamic Taliban police chief was killed in a car bomb attack in Kunar province on Thursday. Nobody has yet confessed to the attack.
