The Snyder Cut, finally released
What a journey the Zack Snyder film has passed until it reaches HBO. A failed premiere led by another director, a campaign by fans that even raised money to help its reissue, a pandemic, the leak in the premiere streaming platform itself, failures in its online premiere … Of course, Snyder has to write a book about everything that has happened to his beloved film, the one that finally culminates (at least for the moment) a work begun with Man of steel (Man of Steel).
Now it seemed that we only had to enjoy their four hours of footage and dedicate ourselves to reading reviews and posting tweets about the best and worst of this film and how things have changed since 20127, however, it seems that the Snyder phenomenon is not going to stay here.
Has already been announced officially that there will be another version available to see that will have an added feature: it will be in black and white.
Justice League in black and white
If you have already seen the film on HBO (remember that in the US it is available through HBO Max while in Spain you can find it on HBO Spain), you will have verified that the film is in a special format that makes it very special. We have already explained why the Snyder Cut is seen in 4: 3, but it is not the only detail that Zack wanted to print on his work: he also wanted it free of colors.
For the director, the ideal way to enjoy this film is therefore in an IMAX cinema, with a 1.37: 1 ratio and in black and white. As IMAX theatrical release is now impossible, at least he has achieved the latter and will soon also see his work in B&W for personal satisfaction.
This has been confirmed by the film’s own official account on Twitter, where they have also shown us a small appetizer in this color range for us to do body with what we will see.

It is not exactly the ideal scene to appreciate perhaps the beauty of black and white in this film – it is a fairly flat sequence – but at least it serves to give us an idea of what we are going to find.
The black and white version will also premiere on HBO, although the Availability Date This version has yet to be confirmed – we imagine that the platform will want to squeeze even more of the new tape before giving it a boost again with this very special edition.
Have you seen the Snyder Cut yet? If so, would you see his four hours in black and white again?
